A key opens our dialogue, using ceramic as a bridge to connect with others. By replicating familiar objects, we encourage those unfamiliar with ceramics to observe, ask questions, and spark curiosity.
The glazes may not be perfect or the most captivating, but through the journey of ceramic, we unlock many new doors, discovering uncharted territories. By picking up the key and exploring, we can experience the joy of these intriguing collisions.
Each studio creates their own glaze chart. We aspire to craft a key-shaped piece that showcases the glazes on both sides. Words like "Earth," "Diamond," and "Globe" relate to our land's resources, revealing the vibrant colors at our feet.
We spent considerable time mixing various glazes for the keys, each one unique due to slight variations in firing atmosphere. As ceramic enthusiasts, we are alike yet distinct. If you had to choose a color to represent yourself, what would it be?
We hope everyone leaves with a key to unlock further exploration in ceramics.
一條鎖匙，打開了我們的對話，使用陶瓷這個物料作橋樑與其他人物碰撞。複製，令唔認識陶瓷的大家手執一個熟悉嘅物件，從而去觀察、提出疑問、引發好奇心。
當中的釉色不一定是最多、最盡善盡美、最引人入勝，但在造陶的路上，我們開啟一道又一道的大門，一路走來發現有很多未涉足過的領域。原來，只要拿起鑰匙，嘗試探索一下、把玩當中的樂趣、有趣的碰撞才會發生
釉版，每個陶室都會製作，讓創作時可以一覽無遺。我們希望製作一支像真實鎖匙的形態作為釉色呈現，兩面均帶有細節。而為什麼是這些字眼？「地球」，”Diamond”，”Globe” 也是跟土地資源有關的字眼，在我們腳下這些觸手可及的距離原來已經充滿著如此幻變的色彩。
我們用了大部分的時間在過程當中，嘗試調配多種釉色為鎖匙上色，每把鎖匙的獨特性因為燒製溫度不盡相同而產生了微妙的變化。喜愛陶藝的我們都好像一樣，但又不盡相同。如果要選一種顏色代表自己，你覺得自己是一種怎樣的顏色？
一本地陶，希望前來的大家都可以帶一條鎖匙，去開往更多陶藝探索的空間。
早一陣子，有朋友：「鎖匙對你來說是怎麼樣一件物件？」，他說：「鎖匙愈多，證明你背負的責任愈大。」對啊，我們作為香港的陶室，有責任背上更多推廣陶藝、當代陶瓷藝術的責任，時刻提醒自己不要故步自封，要走更遠更廣。
